HR admins, payroll admins, accountants, and benefits admins can now search for any worker directly from the Eddy navigation bar without leaving their current page. Just start typing and results appear immediately, grouped by employment status.

Global search matches across first name, last name, preferred name, legal name, last four digits of SSN, employee number, job title, account email, work email, and personal email. Search is flexible—partial names, preferred names, and nicknames in quotes all return results. Clicking any result takes you directly to that employee's profile.

Results appear in a dropdown grouped into Active, Inactive, Terminated, and Contractor sections. Each result shows the employee's photo, name, and job title, with status badges for inactive, terminated, and contractor workers.

Global search is available to HR Admin, Payroll Admin, Accountant, and Benefits Admin users. HR admins with role restrictions scoped to specific locations or departments will only see results within their permitted scope. All other roles do not have access. Search works across multiple organizations simultaneously.

Press ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) to open search from anywhere in Eddy.
