Employees Offer and Swap Shifts

Eddy now helps employees to manage scheduling conflicts seamlessly. When an employee can't work a shift, they can tap "Can't work this shift?" to choose between offering it to an open pool or swapping with a compatible coworker shift. A required note explains the reason, ensuring clear communication.​
Offered shifts appear in "Available Shifts" for qualified team members to claim, with statuses like "Shift Offered," "Claimed," "Pending Approval," "Approved," "Declined," "Expired," or "Cancelled" tracking progress. Managers review and approve/deny claims or swaps, maintaining oversight. Employees see persistent notifications on their shift details and schedule, with easy options to cancel offers or specific swaps.​
For swaps, employees select from non-conflicting shifts where both parties qualify for roles, sending offers to multiple if desired—the first acceptance finalizes it. Confirmation messages and dynamic buttons guide users, with tooltips explaining eligibility. This feature reduces no-shows and boosts team collaboration without administrative burden.
