Consistent name formatting across reports
Jun, 16 2026
What's new
We've standardized how employee names appear across reports in Eddy. Previously, some reports showed names differently — for example, "Carol Barnes" in one report and "Carolyn 'Carol' Barnes" in another — which made it harder to tie data together.
Now, all reports that include an employee name use the same payroll preferred name format (e.g., Carolyn "Carol" Barnes).
We've also left-aligned training names in the employee Trainings tab so they're easier to scan.
What this means for you
- Names in some reports may look different than they did before. For example, reports that previously showed "Carol Barnes" will now show "Carolyn 'Carol' Barnes."
- No action is needed — these updates apply automatically.
- Cross-referencing employees across reports (for audits, reconciliation, or exports) is now more reliable.
