Where Eddy Shines

While both Eddy and BambooHR have many similarities, Eddy really shines in ways that make it a much better fit for businesses when it comes to a few key areas:

1. Hiring & Onboarding

Eddy’s comprehensive Hiring tool is much more robust than BambooHR’s. While both tools include job distribution and promotion, BambooHR limits the number of jobs that can be posted.
Also while BambooHR does offer a mobile app for its Applicant Tracking System, it is a separate app that must be downloaded in addition to the main app. However in Eddy, Hiring is fully integrated into Eddy’s one mobile app. Having everything in one app is simple for managers and hiring teams.
In addition, Eddy offers more control and customization than BambooHR, so you can design Eddy to match your hiring process and use automated stage actions to communicate with both candidates and your team. Eddy also allows candidates to self-schedule interviews on your calendar.
Both Eddy and BambooHR have sophisticated onboarding options including new hire packet templates, first day welcome emails, employee self-enrollment, and digital signatures for company documents.

2. Employee Navigator integration

For customers who use Employee Navigator for benefits administration Eddy is the best option, because BambooHR does not support Employee navigator. Eddy’s integration is a huge time-saver. It syncs your team members from within Eddy to Employee Navigator. Changes to people in Eddy automatically flow into Employee Navigator, including new hires, terminations, hire date, and more.

3. Quickbooks Online integration

While BambooHR has lots of integrations, Quickbooks Online is not one of them. Eddy’s Quickbooks integration is easy to use and comes at no additional cost.

4. Payroll Entry

Eddy’s payroll entry is fully automated so hours worked, time off entries, benefits, and deductions all flow directly to payroll. Customers report that manager approval of timesheets is simpler and better in Eddy. For payroll admins it’s quick and easy to add any other reimbursements, tips, bonuses, corrections or additions.
BambooHR’s payroll is unique in that it is run on the backbone of TRAXPayroll, and the integration between BambooHR and TRAXPayroll is still fairly new.

Pricing

BambooHR offers two basic plans: Core and Pro. BambooHR does not provide any upfront fee information—you have to fill out a form and request a quote to see pricing. Customers can add on additional tools to either plan. The add-on options are Payroll, Benefits Administration, and Time Tracking.

Eddy’s pricing is structured into three product tiers: Starter, Growth, and Premium. Customers can add on Payroll or Hiring to the Starter or Growth products.
  1. Starter: $50 per month plus $4 per person per month. Starter includes all the core HR platform features for record tracking, document storage, benefits tracking, onboarding, time tracking, PTO, basic reporting, and more (see the full list)
  2. Growth: $75 per month plus $8 per person per month. Growth offers everything in Starter, plus: Training tracking, Custom signature documents, Onboarding templates, Custom data fields, Org chart, and Manager approval flows
  3. Premium: Premium is a bundle of Eddy’s Growth, Hiring, and Payroll products and offers custom pricing.
