I think it really boils down to selflessness. In order to be an effective leader, you have to die to yourself and empower someone else if that's what the situation requires. Whether or not you have the title to back that up or to do it, it doesn't matter. If the organization needs helps, in an area and you have the bandwidth to do it, it doesn’t matter if it’s below you or above you, you jump in and be selfless.”

Your employees will think it is powerful that you humbled yourself and came to them and said ‘I made this mistake and here's how I think we can not make this mistake in the future.’”
Shalie Reich
In order to create this type of leadership culture and empower individual leaders, it needs to start from the top and it needs to be those people really making sure that from there down there’s nothing beneath them - there’s nothing that they wouldn’t do.”
Shalie Reich
As HR professionals we’re really good at stepping in, planning, developing, talking - but listen. Listen for the best way to become good at all of those things.”
