AS an HR Business Partners I work closely with business leaders and line managers to build our people capability, plan and manage talent and develop approaches that achieve shared organisational objectives. Organizations need people partners who understand the business, the people, and what it takes to make them work together to create great products and services. AS a coach & trainer, I work with people to unlocking their potential to maximise their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them. It doesn’t matter whether coaching is used in sport, life or business, i believe that individuals always have the answer to their own problems. They just need help to unlock them. I cannot train anybody anything, I can only make them think, I can help them discover it within themselves.
What words of advice and encouragement would you give to someone just starting out in HR?
If I don’t know, I learn, I practice, I improve, if I know, I share.
