Megumi Fuda started her employment assistance journey as an Employer Services Rep with Workforce Solutions of the Concho Valley and fell in love with helping candidates and employers find the perfect fit. After leaving Workforce solutions, she started working with Fleet & Family Support Center helping transitioning military members and their family members find employment through workshops, resume reviews, job search assistance, and interview strategies. After moving back to Texas, she began working in HR for American Innovations. Here, she was promoted from an HR Admin, to an HR Generalist, and now a Senior HR Generalist. She has also held her PHR Certification since 2018.
What words of advice and encouragement would you give to someone just starting out in HR?
My advice to anyone starting our in HR is – learn everything that you can. Volunteer for projects – you never know what you will be able to gain from that experience. Also, be flexible. Each day in HR can be something completely different from the last.
