What words of advice and encouragement would you give to someone just starting out in HR?
Focus on understanding the maturity of your HR function as well as the same for the organization. Anticipate difficult conversations and be ready for career/program defining moments. Also, learn to find comfort with evolving, changing perspectives while you are able to maneuver changing viewpoints.
