After eight and a half years in the US Coast Guard learning HR basics, she now is happily expanding her HR repertoire in the private sector. She holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management and will be completing her MA in Human Resource Management before the end of 2021.
What words of advice and encouragement would you give to someone just starting out in HR?
Don't let the number of things you need to memorize or the number of steps you need to take discourage you; once you grasp the basics, you will be golden.
