JP is a new but passionate HR pro who looks at the field as a wide open world of knowledge. They've worked in several industries but found themselves most at home in the tech world. Ultimately within the HR and People world they want to help people understand that work around diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging are inherently "political" because of they way identities and issues have been politicized by society. Doing all of this while attempting to find the balance between the traditional "HR's role is to protect the business" and the human "without happy, engaged, employees there is no business." Even if that sometimes takes reminding fellow HR practitioners to keep the "Human" in "Human Resources" and that rebranding to "People Team" or "People Operations" won't disguise a lack of humanity
