When it comes to the workplace DJ's favorite part of HR is connecting with people, utilizing his employee relations skills and working to make sure all areas of the organization are in alignment with it's mission, vision and values. When DJ isn't working he loves spending time with his family, reading (or listening) to books, podcast and Ted's, journaling or finding pieces of life to be grateful for in all areas.
What words of advice and encouragement would you give to someone just starting out in HR?
My words of advice for people just starting in the field are be sure to set boundaries, be known for your work not just being a people pleaser, and don't forget to look out for and take care of yourself.
