What words of advice and encouragement would you give to someone just starting out in HR?
My words of advice for people just getting started is have a vision for where you want to go. Once that foundation is in place you get the opportunity to work at your own pace and take advantage of guiding your career where you want it to go. In this profession (HR sits between the leadership and the employee base, so...) you must absolutely love the people that you're serving (both leadership and employee base...). All of the sacrifices and tests are worth it once the foundation of love is in place. It focuses you through hardships and rocky places.
