For anyone just starting in HR, it can feel overwhelming trying to remember all the rules and regulations. Take a deep breath, and don't be afraid to ask questions. It's more important to take your time and get things right than to rush through tasks only to have to go back and redo them. Eliminate the rework, and do it well the first time. People will appreciate that more than it being done super fast. Oh, and remember, depending on your role you may be dealing with employees who are having a really rough day (especially if you're terminating them!), and it's important to remember that most of the time they're mad at the situation and not at you, so try not to take things personally!
