Ashley is a certified HR Professional living in and loving on the Mountain State, West Virginia. She received her degree in Counseling from Bob Jones University, HR Generalist Cert from Greenville Tech, and her SHRM-CP from The Society for Human Resources Management. In 2020 she was named among The State Journal's Generation NEXT Top 40 Under 40. She currently serves at President of Charleston WV SHRM and HR Director of Moses Auto Group and lives on the West Side of Charleston with her dog, Abraham.
What words of advice and encouragement would you give to someone just starting out in HR?
I’ve been blessed throughout my life by people who saw potential in me and gave me an opportunity. My advice for everyone is to look for potential in others, don’t always count on your expectations to be reality and to cheer for the underdog. Give second and third chances, learn through mistakes, love people more than positions and don’t sweat the small stuff.
