She has a diverse HR background and understands the unique challenges high-growth companies experience. She has strong technical and organizational skills, as well as a compassionate and empathetic approach to leading. She is passionate about learning all she can about People Operations and finds joy in helping people and organizations succeed. Outside of work, Shayna enjoys volunteering in the local community. She also enjoys trying new hobbies, hiking, and exploring the front range with her husband and two dogs.
What words of advice and encouragement would you give to someone just starting out in HR?
Don’t give up! I tried for years to get my first role in HR as I was transitioning from an accounting / event planning focused role. I knew my heart was in HR and I never gave up the search for the right networking and right role. I’m now a People Ops Manager and while I might not have 10+ years of experience my team values my perspective and opinions. I could not be more satisfied with how things have played out and am so excited for future in people operations.
