Necole Jones has over 20 years of human resources management experience in a myriad of Fortune 500 and international organizations. She has had responsibility for every aspect of the employee life cycle supporting the workforce in the global footprints of the United States, United Kingdom, Virgin Islands, Singapore, Switzerland, Dubai, India & Australia. With experience in talent development, compensation, employee relations and succession planning it is undergirded with training as a mediator and certifications as a Senior Certified Professional by the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP) and Certified Diversity Sourcing Professional (CDSP). Through the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI), Necole held her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from 2003-2009. Subsequently, she obtained the Senior Human Resources Professional (SPHR) credential in 2009 and Global Human Resources Professional (GPHR) certification in 2021.

What words of advice and encouragement would you give to someone just starting out in HR?

Understand your role ensuring that you are a conduit between employees & management. You have an important position to mitigate risks & assess liability. Be sure to always operate with integrity & whatever decisions you make be able to support them with facts. As the resident subject matter expert for HR, never forget to take time for professional development & hone your craft.
